OverView:
As a freelance web Designer, I collaborated with Modern Drug House (MDH), a leading distributor and exporter of pharmaceutical products. MDH specializes in cold-chain pharmaceuticals such as Immunoglobulins, Oncology drugs, and Human Vaccines. With a reputation for excellence, MDH has garnered over 20 awards for outstanding sales. My role involved redesigning their website to showcase their extensive product range and global reach, enhancing user experience and trustworthiness for visitors seeking quality pharmaceutical solutions. As the lead web designer and developer on this project, I collaborated closely with MDH to understand their brand identity, goals, and audience needs.
MDH’s existing website lacked modern design elements and functionality, hindering user experience.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, demand for vaccines surged worldwide, exposing the limitations of traditional systems. Modern Drug House needed a digital solution to ensure efficient, transparent distribution while maintaining stringent quality standards.
I conducted interviews with over 12 stakeholders, including MDH’s supply chain managers, pharmacists, and healthcare clients, to understand pain points in ordering, tracking, and communication. Insights revealed frustrations with lack of real-time tracking, difficulty in managing international regulations, and limited visibility into inventory.
I adopted a Human-Centered Design approach combined with Lean UX principles to deliver iterative improvements. Starting with user research, I created wireframes and prototypes in Figma, validated through usability testing sessions. Tools like Information Architecture (IA) and User Journey Mapping ensured a clear flow, while Agile workflows facilitated rapid iterations.
This process highlights my strengths in user empathy, problem framing, prototyping, and collaboration.
This project helped me strengthen multiple skills:

✅ Product thinking — focusing on solving complex distribution challenges beyond just visual design
✅ Deep understanding of user needs and the critical importance of cold-chain compliance in pharma logistics
✅ The value of continuous testing and iterative feedback to refine solutions in a regulated industry environment
